I went to the Mosque again last night. I was welcomed greatly to come in and take some photographs. It was about 8pm last night and the sun was low with an orange glow bouncing back off the brick work. My daughter came with me we were able to go into the prayer room with our shoes off. I said 'its really peaceful in here' to the gentleman and he replied 'thank you'
He told me that the mosque was built in 2005 and that there special prayer day is on a Friday in contrast to Christianity being on a Sunday. The gentleman also told me that in the prayer room the direction that they face towards the preacher and that it was similar to meditation, i asked if they meditated on sound or a vision but he was unable to explain due to the fact that he had only been speaking English one year. His English was really good, hard to imagine he had only been speaking English a year. I have Uploaded the images that are the ones that have potential for critique. I particularly like the one in the prayer room with the lit up arch. The light in the arch could represent the ideology of light being religious; also it given an aura of the spiritual room. I also like the dome at the top of the turret effect at the edge of the building. The Height being significant to spirituality and the hiarachy establishment of religious beliefs.
